SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (February 14, 2013) – ANXeBusiness Corp. (ANX), a leading provider of managed connectivity, transaction delivery, and compliance solutions, hosted USRowing Olympians on February 8 as they visited several Detroit-based businesses and organizations.

“The dedication, hard work, endurance, and total performance embodied in USRowing athletes is a source of inspiration for any business or organization,” said Cindy Swiantek, Vice President, ANX.

“Detroit has some of the best people we have met in our travels, and we appreciated the warm reception. The employees, teenagers and children we met truly showed they have the work ethic and focus to be champions and leaders in their industries and life,” said Esther Lofgren.

The series of ANX-sponsored visits featured the Olympic Gold Medalist in the Women's Eights, Esther Lofgren, and the Bronze Medalist in the Women's Quad, Natalie Dell. The duo met with Detroit-based employees of Epitec and Accenture. Both companies made generous donations to the MCWT (Michigan Council for Women in Technology) Foundation for the opportunity to have the Olympians share with employees their inspirational journey.

“This was a unique and fulfilling opportunity for Epitec employees to learn about how hard work and dedication can help one achieve his or her goals,” said Jan Moore, Vice President of Marketing, Epitec.

The Olympians concluded their visit with a stop at the Canton Library to meet with girls and young women from the MCWT Foundation’s high school GET-IT Clubs (Girls Exploring Together – Information Technology), alumni from Camp Infinity summer technology camp, participants of MCWT’s high school web design contest, and the Rhonda Walker Foundation. GET-IT Clubs provide after-school technology programs for high school girls, providing a support network and structured activities for young female students interested in computing careers. The Rhonda Walker Foundation provides mentoring for inner-city teen girls to help them become strong, confident, successful and moral future leaders.

“MCWT had its most successful one-day event last Friday. The Olympians’ visit will not soon be forgotten.  Everyone who was involved with the planning and the actual day of events enjoyed the experience,” said Janette Phillips, Executive Director, MCWT.

“ANX is a valued partner of the MCWT Foundation,” said MCWT President Maru Flores. “In addition to its generous financial support, ANX finds new and creative ways, such as this USRowing event, to benefit the organization.”
