DBA Architect

Summary:

ANXeBusiness Corp is seeking a qualified candidate with 5+ years of experience designing, administering and tuning enterprise-scale databases.


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED

The right candidate should enjoy designing, diagnosing, and developing for databases. Candidate must also have experience developing software and working in a Linux environment; and should have in-depth knowledge/experience in the following technical areas:

  • Relational database design, normalization
  • Advanced SQL topics: triggers, stored procedures, views, custom types, cursors
  • Database performance benchmarking, query analysis, performance tuning strategies
  • Database server administration
  • Database replication solutions
  • Develop application-specific, fault-tolerant, distributed database mechanisms
  • Develop and optimize physical design of database systems
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases
  • Work with application development staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures

Relevant Education and Experience:

Candidates should have demonstrated experience with the following technologies/platforms:

  • MySQL, SQL Server
  • Database-related software development on a Linux and Microsoft platforms (Java, C/C++, C#)

Required education, experience or background:

  • BS Computer Science
  • Demonstrated experience with relational database physical design
  • Demonstrated experience with relational database performance tuning and capacity planning
  • Developed and maintained high SLA production environments in an Internet environment; supporting large customer base

Additional "Bonus" Skills:

Experience using PostgreSQL database would be a plus, but not required.
